About Me

Hey there! I’m Alex Stroming (she/her), a director, teaching artist, and theatre maker. Originally from Wenatchee, WA, I am currently pursuing my MFA in Theatre Directing at East 15 Acting School in London.

I make theatre with core artistic values of empathy, courage, and curiosity.  I practice antiracist, consent-based, egalitarian, trauma informed facilitation in my rehearsal rooms and classrooms. I am trained as an intimacy director and working towards certification.

In 2019, I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Theatre from Whitworth University. Before moving to the UK, I worked in Washington state, Chicago, Cleveland, Washington DC, and New Hampshire.

I am the creator of Out There and the co-creator of Poetry and Prose, two original musicals, and the founder of C² Productions with the mission to tell family-friendly stories exploring gender empowerment, non-discrimination, and empathic thinking.

When not doing theatre, you can find me buying too many books, eating an entire jar of dill pickles, or locating the nearest cat to snuggle with.
